The last few days have been full of fun and adventure. I was getting ready for a Finish Line event in Atlantic City when a lady at a red light yelled and asked what Soles4Souls was all about. I started to tell her when Allan asked “Did you set your cell phone on this bench?” Before I could answer he chased down a woman who had quickly picked up my Blackberry and stuck it in her pocket. He got it back and she just laughed when he said he was reporting it to the police. A few hours later at our campsite, Super Hero Allan went out and stopped a guy who was yelling at a woman and grabbing her by the arms when she wanted to leave. For relaxation, we played Andrea Bocelli’s opera music as loud as possible. The RV next to us is owned by Andrea and his driver is inside. We’re trying to be “subtle” and get the driver’s attention and ask for a pair of Andrea’s shoes to display.
In between, we took a kyak trip that was anything but gentle and relaxing. The river kept twisting and turning and the current pulled us into and under branches. We also enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean, which is MUCH warmer than the Pacific Ocean near Seattle.
