Clarks visit Puma in a BiiiiiiG Mall

We visited the Puma store in Mall of America today. This “mall” has of course, stores, but it also has an amusement park with roller coasters and ferris wheels, an aquarium, Legoland, live theater performances and what every mall has…a wave pool. Oh yes, they also have a Puma store. We wore our nifty Puma shirts and shoes while letting customers know they would get a 30% discount if they donated gently used shoes to Soles4Souls. We explained how they could recycle shoes by giving them to a shoe charity. What better shoe charity than Soles4Souls! One mother was so touched by the pictures we showed of children in Guatemala getting new shoes, that she donated her small son’s sandals right on the spotmall america baby donation

Mark, from Soles4Souls and Puma store manager Kristin show some of the donated shoes.

We told as many customers as possible about Soles4Souls.

WOW…Please come to Raleigh, NC to visit our Galloway Running program…any time through Dec. 5! Last year I coordinated our initial collection of >500 pairs, so many used running shoes spent for our running days, but still lots of wear left in them! What an excellent outlet for our shoes to help others in need! Our goal is 1000 pairs this year from our Galloway group, the country’s largest at >400 members of all levels (Boston qualifiers to beginners). We use the run/walk interval method by Jeff Galloway, an Olympian and Raleigh native son, to train for marathons and half marathons. Come see us as we meet every Saturday morning, rain or shine! How about our City of Oaks Marathon on Nov. 1 and collect from participants too? Check our webiste for your logo. http://www.raleighgalloway.com Susan Hubbard
