As I contact various agencies around the country to set up shoe distributions, it’s surprising how many groups, A: don’t return my emails or phone calls, and B: tell me they think a shoe distribution would be too much work. Not Colin Pinkney at The Urban Restoration in Charlotte. He had his volunteers organized before I finished explaining the distribution!
Colin runs his charity like a well-run, professional business and the results are evident. We had a great time distributing over 1,000 pairs of new shoes to people in the Charlotte community.

Soles4Souls Sets A World Record!

OK. Maybe it’s not an official world record, but I’m declaring the event yesterday as
“World Record for Fastest Shoe Distribution”. We fitted 102 students with new shoes in 20 minutes. It takes that long for the average woman to decide which pair of shoes to simply try on!
