Sorry, no photo is available for this event. Allan had just finished washing and oiling our bikes when we decided to go for a bike ride. Granted, it was getting dark when we finished, so we opted to take a short cut across a field. I wisely let Allan lead the way. Oh, he led the way alright. As he pedaled through the field, he slowly disappeared from my view. My dear husband rode his bike into a ditch and ended up in marshy water up to his neck. I watched from a safe and dry distance as he struggled to get himself and the bike back to dry land. So much for his clean bike.

Mother-daughter fun
Just returned from a week in Seattle for my mom’s funeral. Both our daughters flew in, so it was a great time to be together as a family. Hard to believe that my two “little girls” are now 19 and mid-thirties. (Trina didn’t want me announcing her advanced age) I’m so proud to see those two grow up to be strong and confident women. I certainly don’t have to worry that they will be afraid to speak their mind and do whatever they set out to do!
